Lyrics – Mercy, Mercy, Mercy

Mercy, Mercy, Mercy

Sunrise and the sun peaks through the Earth’s soul.
Eyes blurred as I’m looking through my window
thinking of my day’s itinerary,
hoping all my actions will be carefree.
Shuffling to the kitchen’s singing,
[I] hear my telephone is ringing.
It’s my baby calling me, (yeah!)
asking me if I am free.
There’s so much beauty that surrounds me,
forging all my dream’s desires.

Sundown and the crowd begins to scurry
like ants in blurred frenetic flurry,
happy people looking to find treasure,
searching eve’ywhere to find their pleasure,
walking down the boardwalk’s humming,
list’ning to my heart beat’s strummin’,
the moon above is shining bright (yeah!)
on this very special night.
There’s so much beauty that surrounds me,
forging dreams in sunset’s fires.
