Lyrics – Little Sunflower

Little Sunflower

Searching stormy skies
for warm rays to dry dark, unfounded fears—
swollen, bruised and black-
gray clouds hurl acerbic lead-swollen tears.

Embraced by unfettered faith
in your returning golden rays—
brightly streaming sun-soaked strength
brings life to roots entrapped in clay.

Yawning apathy,
melancholic mist shields your face from me,
but I crave your touch
to quicken our eternal destiny.
